read full review"Really like this clay. It's a bit more plasticky compared to other "name" brands. But as a professional detailer(over 20 years). This is really decent quality. It's a bit hard to use in colder weather, but as it warms up. Its great. Does an excellent job of clearing away road grime (salt, tar and iron deposits). I would say it does its job a bit faster than the other clay I usually use. "

I gave it a nice power wash, then hand wash, then went over with this clay bar. I used the soapy wash mit to lube as I went. Once done the paint felt like glass. It was pretty rough before I started. Gave it a final rince and then dried the car and then waxed. Car looks brand new! "

Hint: mix in a pump sprayer a few drops of dish soap and water. Spray the surface and then flatten the clay and rub. The soap/water is just to help it slide. Rinse then polish or wax. Itās work but when done right, the paint is smooth as can be!!!! "

More plastic than clay and that's a great thing!

Worked well for a first timer

It works

This Stuff Does Work
I'd parked my pickup under a tree over the winter. Come springtime it was completely coated in tree sap which just wouldn't wash off. I tried numerous products for removing sap but the ones that did work took a lot of effort and elbow grease. I'd never heard of detailing clay before until I saw it here while looking for other solutions. This stuff really does work. Although it still takes some effort with a vehicle as crusted over as mine was it's much easier.
GREAT product!!! Good stuff!
Wow! What a difference on my cars paintjob
I did the job
It actually worked good with my paint
Need a clay bar? Buy this one.
First time using a clay bar to decontaminate my car's paint and it was absolutely perfect. I used soapy water to rub it down throughout the process. The temperature was almost 90 degrees outside and even though the bar began to melt slightly (as I rubbed and it would flatten), it never stuck to my car because I was consistent with rubbing against a soapy surface. I divided one bar in 4 parts for an extremely dirty surface and it was enough for the whole vehicle. I also ran this across my sunroof, which had literally crusted with sap and debris and with a little effort got most of it off, before switching to elbow grease and a razor blade to scrape thicker areas. Love that it comes as a pack of bars...I will begin to use the regularly now. Thank you for this phenomenal product.
Clay Bars for āThe Rest of Usā
As an amateur/weekend warrior automotive detailer, Iāve come to recognize how important such a thing is in relation to my vehicleās overall health. While thereās no mistake that I really enjoy the end result of 4-8 hours of work over an entire weekend, I take even greater satisfaction in knowing that Iām doing my part to prevent my car from developing surface rust which could inevitably lead to more serious problems ābeneath the skin.ā And yes: even though it does tend to be quite a tedious task, claying oneās vehicle is but one step in this crucial process. Having used both traditional clay bars and synthetic modern substitutes (*Iām looking at you, Mothers Speed Clay*), I can honestly state that the latter will never hold the proverbial candle to the former. āBut which traditional clay bar is the best,ā one may ask. Good question! While Iāve only used three brands so far (Meguiarās, Mothers, and this one), I must say that this one has hands-down proven to be my favorite thus far. Not only was this set dirt-cheap; it really works! In addition to being bigger than those offered by the 2 major brands Iād mentioned earlier, theyāre also āgrabbier.ā I was using them on my Cosmic Grey Mica 2012 Toyota Camry SE about 2 months ago, and I was genuinely amazed that they picked up even more gunk than the famous yellow Mothers bars Iād used 2 months before that! Simply amazing!
Good performance for cost
This was my first experience using clay bars. The 4 ea. bars arrived individually wrapped in plastic and have a firm plastic feel a little stiffer than taffy. The vehicle I used it on has been stored in my garage that is also used as a workshop. After normal washing and waxing, there was still a gritty feel to the surface. I applied soapy soapy water to both the bar and the area of the car I was working on. With only light pressure, rubbing the bar on the car quickly removed the gritty contaminates from the surface. I was very impressed with the ease and speed of the process. I finished up by waxing the car and it has never shined better. I stored the used bar in a plastic bag and plan to reuse it on my wifes car soon. Since this is my first experience, I can't compare to other products, but this worked great.
