It also comes with two swatch cards, one on white paper and the other on black. The pigments show up equally as nice on the white as they do on the black paper. It took a little extra water and work with the brush to really get the pigments activated but that didn't affect my rating. The colors are very bright, beautiful and go on quite smoothly; they interact with each other nicely as well. This set makes an excellent addition to my collection and I can't wait to play around some more with them! "

There are many different pallets for mixing paints and playing around and the case itself can be used as a pallet or to hold water. It's all very aesthetically pleasing and practical. The watercolor brushes are very cool and it comes with a sample card so you can paint swatches for each color to know what it looks like when dried down on paper. I will likely buy this again for other crafters and painters in my life. "

They also are non-staining, so they can be lifted off the paper with a wet brush. If you are wondering, the metal case is solid black on the outside and white on the inside. It’s a great little size, and standard half pans fit perfectly. In fact, I like this case better than some expensive travel palettes I’ve tried. Also, the short-than-normal water brushes are a handy size for convenient carrying (especially with the included black “velvet” bag). The water brushes do unscrew opposite to the way I am used to — although the instructions on this webpage are perfectly clear (if I had paid attention to them!) "

Not Bad For The Price.
I was looking for an inexpensive metallic watercolor set and decided on this one. As you can see from the photo, I used the color cards and the metallic feature showed up much better on the white card than the black. I haven't planned on using this on dark paper so it's not a deal breaker. I also painted on wood and it turned out pretty nice. You just need to make sure to use more paint than water. I think it's a nice set for the price.

Extremely pleased
I am a long time beginner in water color and I am spoiled with expensive German and French artist watercolor paints (not many of them, mostly single pigment). Since I love metalic colors, I decided to try this set. Great paints, the colors are rich and very shimmery. My other metallic paints and metallic color pencils are very pale. This set is very well presented. Love the white metal lid which is a great pallet. The half-pans are a treat too - I plan to reuse them later for my paints from tubes. The paints blend well. Little black and white cards for color swatches are very appreciated. I would love to have more of them for my other paints. This is a great value product, not a cheap metallic paint set one can get elsewhere. Definitely recommend.

Love the little package big bang for buck
This little pack is so cute and easy to travel with. Makes art time anywhere loads of fun! You can toss this in your pack for a nice hike and then paint in nature!

I'm new to watercolors. In my opinion these are good paints. The colors are nice. They lay down well and the pigment is good. They come with swatch sheets in both black and white watercolor paper. You can get a good idea how they will look on your project.
