This is made from very heavy gauge metal with a great quality handle. This is also good for removing whole slabs of ribs that are super tender and falling apart. Some people may ask why you would need something like this to remove a brisket or pork shoulder. After smoking for between 16 and 24 hours both of those items get so tender they fall apart. This is a great way to get them off of the grill and wrapped in butcher paper or foil whatever your preference maybe. "

Pulled thousands of pizza in my time & this is my favorite non commercial oven peel
Super sturdy... didn't think it would be, but it's serious pro grade. The folding thing is nice & super secure... there's nothing flimsy about this bad boy. Folding fits in the lower rack larger than a dinner plate, but smaller than a cookie sheet. I use it in my gas fired pizza oven outside... very secure & easy to handle... unlike the round handle peels I used to use in high school pulling pizzas, those would be all wiggley.. the wide flat handle allows for a positive sure grip. I've made the pizza on this thing before but i'd not recommend it... we make on a wood peel with semolina & put the raw pizza in oven with it... it's larger & we can make nice size pizza... this thing works great to pull the pizza & turn it, & if the pizza is larger, no biggie as long as it's cooked it shouldn't flop over the side. I also turn it over & use as a sort of scraper to scrape the burned semolina & other toppings that jumped ship. Really, really good peel... trust me, I've pulled thousands of pizzas in my time

Perfect size for Med-Large pizza
Have used this peel many times now, and I'm very pleased with it. I had to really dig through search results to find a peel that would accommodate pizzas larger than small personal-size, which is about all the 12" peels can handle. This peel is large enough for a medium-to large pizza, fits the size of my Lodge cast iron 15" pizza pan, and the collapsible handle is very sturdy, without any wobble or bend.

Great tool for retrieving pizza from oven
I am an ocasional Pizza maker. I like the fact that the handle can fold down, this is a great space saving feature for me. The material is great, seems to be a good quality. The only problem I have is that the pizza tends to stick to the surface when trying to transfer the dough to the oven. Using flour does not help that much, I solved this issue by using parchment paper. I can make 3 Pizzas, and then replace the parchment paper. I don't know if this metal can be seasoned, I have not tried as it has a plastic handle attached, so I will not try.
